Summary: We are currently accepting applications for the position of a full-time Nurse (RN) to support our Youth In Transition (YIT) Program. The overall purpose of this position is to provide medical case management for individuals to assure their health, safety, and well being, and to assure the implementation and delivery of the delegated nursing functions and care in compliance with the applicable Code of Maryland Regulations and as set forth in each individual's Nursing Care Plan.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, monitoring of medication administration; assuring nursing functions are delegated in compliance with applicable regulations; upon completion of the Initial Assessment, formulate, develop and implement a Nursing Care Plan; completing 45-day assessments on each individual; serving as on-call point of contact for medical concerns; performing on-going medical assessments and monitoring as required; serving as on-going liaison with all consulting health care practitioners for issues regarding individual health care needs; performing on-going individualized in-services with staff; and serving as liaison with pharmacy.
Qualifications/Requirements: A valid State of Maryland R.N. License, possession of a current Health Care Provider CPR Certification, ability to interact positively with individuals, co-workers, community residents, family, advocates and Agency staff, ability to provide direction and leadership, ability to provide instruction, training and support to staff and developmentally disabled individuals, ability to function independently as a delegating Registered Nurse, and a valid Maryland Driver's License, dependable transportation, and a good driving record.
Position requires travel to residential houses throughout surrounding community.

Summary: We are currently accepting applications for the position of Social Worker to work at our Youth In Transition (YIT) School, providing comprehensive counseling services as specified in the students' IEP.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include conducting individual and group counseling, providing crisis counseling as needed and implementing the Comprehensive School Counseling Program. The Comprehensive School Counseling Program includes, but is not limited to, counseling, consultation, and coordination of services, as well as staff development.
Education: Masters degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related discipline. Experience working with maladjusted adolescents or in a special education environment strongly preferred.

Summary: NCIA's well established Augustus Institute Outpatient Mental Health clinic is seeking a psychiatrist to join our professional team for up to 20 hours/week working in the Woodlawn area. This very flexible position provides a full range of psychiatric services to adolescents and adults. As part of our professional clinical team, the psychiatrist provides medication management and diagnostic assessments. Excellent compensation.

Summary: We are seeking a licensed Clinical Therapist to work in our Youth In Transition (YIT) residential department, providing clinical services to transitional youth. This is a full-time, salaried position.
Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: provision of direct clinical services, including assessments, and group, individual and family therapy as determined by the treatment plan; develop initial treatment plan; document services following regulatory standards; maintain licensure; maintain and stay current with required trainings; required to be "on call" and arrange "on call" when unavailable; must have the ability to travel to and from varying sites; and assures the provision of clinical services to assigned population.
Education: Masters degree in social work counseling, psychology or related discipline
Licensure: Maryland professional licensure in social work or counseling, at the graduate or certified level
Skills Required: Ability to develop professional and therapeutic relationships with a wide variety of people with challenging psychiatric disorders which may also involve developmental disabilities, substance abuse, sexual offenders, or other criminal behaviors; must have interpersonal skills to work with front line staff, usually residential, to train them in effective intervention strategies; may require skills in behavioral analysis, writing behavioral plans based on observation and record review and effectively able to train staff in implementing the plans; advanced abilities and knowledge to train staff and contribute to program planning.

Summary: We are currently accepting applications for Residential Counselors at NCIA's Youth in Transition (YIT) School and Adult Residential Services Programs. We are accepting applications for full-time, part-time and per diem positions.
Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: provide supervision, counseling and other residential services to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential environment while following a specific treatment plan; administer medication; and provide documentation of all activities and issues that occur during the shift.
Education: Minimum high school education or GED.
Qualifications/Requirements: Must be 21 years of age or older; counseling and crisis intervention skills required; excellent written and oral communication skills required. Requires successful completion of all DDA and NCIA required trainings. Must be available to attend requried training classes during regular business hours.
Trainings: The following trainings are preferred, for Residential Counselor positions: CPR, First AID, Medication Administration; and all trainings mandated by the COMAR regulations.
Hours: Work hours are week days between 3:00pm and 9:00am and all day on weekends. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS.
Experience: One year experience working in the behavioral science or similar field and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
Salary Range: Positions start at $8.50/hour, with increased starting rates for experience and education.

The Youth In Transition School serves the educational needs of children who are unable to participate in traditional school programs. Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of a special education teacher includes, but may not be limited to: prepare and deliver appropriate daily and long-range lessions that motivate and challenge students according to their ability and actively involve them in the learning experience; keep written evaluations of student performance; maintain and implement the students' IEPs for social and academic skills; keep students and parents informed about students' performances and behaviors in a timely manner; be receptive to parents' comments about how they see their children as learners; be accountable for the location and safety of students; provide prompt, complete, accurate and legible records and reports; enforce school policies for student discipline; help students develop self-discipline and self-control; and strive for self-improvement by participating in curriculum development, professional organizations and college courses. Teachers are also responsible for maintaining an up-to-date certificate and should maintain a professional attitude, and a positive posture about education, at all times.

Nurse Supervisor who will be responsible for supervising the provision of medical and nursing services of all clients living in community-based residential programs. The primary responsibility of the Nurse Supervisor is to assure that professional and regulatory standards, as well as systems that enhance residents' health care and well-being, are maintained.
Responsibilities: The duties of the Nurse Supervisor include, but may not be limited to: assuring the completion of all required nursing documentation; follow-up on significant medical and or psychiatric complaints with other providers, such as hospitals, nursing care centers, etc.; supervise a small caseload of clients (8-12), while acting as Delegating Nurse/Nurse Case Manager; perform quarterly audits, assuring that quality and standards are being maintained and followed up on; maintain the medical dispersal system; and carry out any other duties within the scope of nursing supervison as assigned by the Executive Director of CBAI.
Licensure: Licensed in Maryland as a Registered Nurse
Skills Required: Superior organizational skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; and ability to work with basic software such as MS Word and MS Excel. This position also requires excellence in supervision, task assignments and following through on assigned tasks of subordinates. Requires the ability to constructively communicate with co-workers on different staffing levels and management levels. Requires the ability to be flexible.
