NCIA COVID-19 Health Updates 3/31

Yesterday Governor Hogan signed an executive order instituting stay-at-home directive effect 8 p.m. last night.

Here is the updated order defining “essential activities”:

– The governor also said essential personnel may utilize public transportation during this time.

-Marylanders should not travel outside the state unless absolutely necessary. All Marylanders who have recently traveled outside the region should self-quarantine for 14 days.



Essential personnel need to have their LETTER and BADGE on them at all times. The status and of each program of NCIA is as follows:

Administrative Staff – TELEWORKINGE

Adult Residential Services – ESSENTIAL

Business Services Department: Essential Contracts Only

Career Development Center – CLOSED, Essential staff reassigned to Residential and Business Services

Youth in Transition School – TELEWORKING – enabling distance learning

HJH Vocational Training Center – TELEWORKING – enabling distance learning

Staff should have already received letters stating they are essential employees via Paycom as well as information on obtaining child care services.
