The order also requires all retail locations to require staff to wear face coverings and requires those businesses to put appropriate social distancing measures in place. To give retailers time to make these adjustments, the order will go into effect SATURDAY AT 7AM.
Governor Hogan stated: “While this order is an important step in our immediate efforts to protect public health and safety, the wearing of masks is also something that we may all have to become more accustomed to in order to safely reopen our state.”
What this means for NCIA Employees:
- Masks are provided to NCIA employees.
- When you receive a mask DO NOT throw it away after a single use.
- If you do not have access to a mask keep in mind face covering means a covering that fully covers a person’s nose and mouth, but is not a Medical-Grade Mask. The term “Face Covering” includes, without limitation, scarves and bandanas.
- Instructions on making face coverings with household items can be found here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/downloads/DIY-cloth-face-covering-instructions.pdf
