The National Center on Institutions and Alternatives (NCIA) is pleased to announce that Sandra Mock-Myers will be the new Director of Human Resources. Sandra has been operating in this role for the past 90 days and has agreed to accept a full time role effective immediately.

Sandra has been in the field of developmental disabilities for over 30 years. She has held numerous positions at several nonprofits in Maryland and Pennsylvania including Director of Residential Services, Director of Training, Chief Learning Officer, Vice President of Community Services, and most recently Director of Human Resources at Chimes International.

Sandra is a graduate of Penn State University and has a master’s degree from Towson University. She also holds the position on the Board of Directors at the Chesapeake Human Resources Association where she is the Director of Foundation and Community Involvement.

Sandra stated, “I am excited for this opportunity. I am able to offer a unique perspective since I have experience in operations. I believe that I will be able to help with the management of programs and services as well as fulfill the responsibilities of training and developing the human resources team.”

The Human Resources Director is responsible for overseeing and directing NCIA’s human resources department. She will supervise and provide consultation to management on strategic staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training and development, budget, and labor relations.
