Herbert J. Hoelter Vocational Training Center

NCIA’s Herbert J Hoelter Vocational Training Center is located in East Baltimore. The center provides vocational training and supportive services to veterans, returning citizens, and economically disadvantaged. 

Our mission is to equip its participants with marketable skill sets that will afford them career paths enhancing their quality of life. Our vision is for each participant to become a productive member of society.

It is named after NCIA’s Co-Founder and CEO, who has dedicated his 42-year career to providing opportunities for this population.

Additional Information:

 

  • Each cohort varies depending on vocation
  • Program participants are employed prior to graduation through our partners.
  • All programs (other than Drone Training) operate Monday-Thursday between the hours of 9a.m. and 4p.m. Drone trainings currently are currently offered Tuesday’s and Thursday’s 4p.m.-7p.m. and Friday 9a.m.-1p.m.
  • Evening and Weekend Programs are available (these programs are limited and based on demand)

 

Our Vocational Programs Include:

 

Automotive Mechanic Training/ Automotive Painting

  • This program typically runs 13 weeks with an additional 2 weeks of workforce readiness training

CDL Class B License Training

  • This program typically runs 13 weeks with an additional 2 weeks of workforce readiness training

 

HVAC Training

  • This program typically runs 13 weeks with an additional 2 weeks of workforce readiness training.

Drone Training

  • Program participants attend class 3 days a week with a curriculum structured to prepare them for sUAS FAA Certification.
