NCIA Youth In Transition School is certified by The Maryland State Department of Education as a Type I full day Special Education and related services program for students with autism, emotional disturbance and/or mental retardation in an Elementary School (grades 6-8), a Secondary school (grades 9-12), and in a non-graded (ages 14-21) educational program. The school serves 120 male and female students between the ages of 11 and 21.
NCIA Youth In Transition School is also certified by the District of Columbia Public Schools to govern and operate a non-public special education school/program for students (grades 6-12; ages 11-21) with educational disturbance, mental retardation, autism and/or multiple disabilities.
