Congressman Kweisi Mfume presented NCIA’s Vocational Training Center (VTC) in Baltimore, MD with a $500,000 check in funding as a part of the FY26 Career Empowerment for Second-Chance Baltimore Citizens project.
We also had VTC alumni, Samuel Hoyte and De’Sean Mitchell, speak about their experiences at NCIA and where they are now. Both alumni are now employed in HVAC positions and earning a living wage.
NCIA is a second chance organization and with this funding, we can continue to empower individuals with limited access to opportunities to build fulfilling lives and stronger communities through unconditional support.
