WJZ featured NCIA and Each Teach for National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month this July. NCIA’s collaboration with Each Teach is valuable for our Vocational Training Center in Baltimore, MD where students are trained in CDL, HVAC, or automotive repair while receiving a variety of wraparound services including job support and career preparation.
NCIA partners with Each Teach, which provides trauma-informed workforce development services and social and emotional learning to NCIA students. The collaboration between the two organizations allows students to graduate with technical skills and certifications as well as the social and emotional skills required to acquire and maintain stable employment.
Ken Jackson, an Employment Specialist with NCIA and HUT-certified Facilitator with Each Teach, explains how both organizations are helping Baltimore residents manage stress, build resilience, and succeed at work.
